Day 1 – BUENOS AIRES – ARRIVAL DAY:

Day  2 – BUENOS AIRES:

The City tour gives you the emotion of a multiple Buenos Aires. During this tour we will learn about the history of the “Paris of South America” as it was know in the last century. We will see the symbol of our city: the Obelisk and we will visit the main square where the city was founded in 1580 : Plaza de Mayo. We will drive among some of the most important avenues, such as Corrientes, Mayo and 9 de Julio (the widest one in town).

We will pass through historical neighbourhoods such as: La Boca, San Telmo & Montserrat. Elegant neighbourhoods such as Palermo and Recoleta, and the most modern one: Puerto Madero. Green areas such as Tres de Febrero Park. We will also visit financial and commercial areas and we will get to one of the most famous Football Stadium, La Bombonera.

Day 4: SANTIAGO

At a coordinated time, you will be picked up from your hotel for a sightseeing tour of Santiago. Santiago, is a mixture of the old and the new, something we invite you to experience. Our guides will show and tell you history of Santa Lucía Hill (place where Santiago was founded in 1541), the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Post Office and the City Hall, the National Library, the Presidential Palace and old neighborhoods of Santiago.

Following, you will discover the ‘New World of Wine’ in Chile and visit one of the oldest and most historic wineries in the country on a half day guided tour from Santiago. Chile has established itself as an emerging producer of great wines and today is your chance to visit some of the most popular wineries leading the way.

You will see the stately home and gardens of the first owners of the largest wine exporter in Latin America, as well as their legendary wine cellar. You have probably already tried a Concha y Toro wine before on one or more occasions, so you cannot miss out on the opportunity to visit the cellars of one of the largest wine exporters in Latin America, and one of the most important wine brands in the world, with a presence in over 130 countries. Their cellars are located in the picturesque region of Pirque, and you can take a tour of them as well as visiting the gardens of the Concha y Toro’s family summer house, which dates back to the XIX century. You can also enjoy walking through the park and grounds of the house, as well as visiting the mixed garden, which has 26 different varieties of grapes. You will also visit the storage cellars including the legendary centenary Casillero del Diablo cellar. The tour includes a special wine tasting as well as a visit to the vineyard’s shop.

Day 5: SANTIAGO – LIMA

Day 6:  LIMA – CUSCO

At coordinated time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Cusco., And arrival to airport, you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel.

In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel, and you will start the city tour visiting Cusco´s Historical Inca and Spanish Colonial Monuments, such as the Main Square, know in Inca Times as Huaycapata or the Warrior´s Square; it was the scene for many key events in Cusco´s history.

The Cathedral, originally built on the site of the old temple of Suntur Wasi (House of God), now the church of El Triunf, a particular interest are the choir cloisters, the pulpit, the engravings on the altar and furniture.Continue on to the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo, a Spanish construction belonging to the Dominican Order built upon the fundations of the Inca temple of Koricancha or Temple of the Sun. Koricancha (in quechua, site of gold) was the main religious building of the Incas dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose walls, according to the chronicles, were plated with sheets of gold. Magnificent blocks of finely carved stone were used in its construction.

After, you will visit the surrounding ruins of the city of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, this huge Inca fortress is built on three overlapping platforms, each of them over 360 m. long. Then we continue, onto Tambomachay, know as the Inca baths. It was apparently a site dedicated to the worship of water and a resting place for the Inca Monarch. Kenko it is said to have been a worship site. There is a huge, 5,9 m high stone block that looks like a puma. There are also passages, canals and stairwayswith stone engravings representing animals. Finally, Puca Pucará, which was an administrative and military centre formed by terraces, stairways, passages, turrets and vaulted niches. At the end of the tour you will return to your hotel.

Day 7:  CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

In the morning, you will be transferred to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, a small town located below Machu Picchu. You will enjoy a spectacular train journey crossing valleys, mountains and typical communities. A magical journey never to be forgotten. The altitude will descend to 1900 m.a.s.l. crossing from the sierra to the cloud forests.

Upon arriving at Aguas Calientes, reception at the train station and transfer to the bus station to board your regular bus uphill to Machu Picchu (approximately 20 minutes). On arrival to Machu Picchu you will begin your tour of the Citadel where you will appreciate the history of this enigmatic and impressive place. This stone citadel, located 112 km from Cusco, was discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. The citadel was built on a very special spot covered in vegetation between two mountains: the Machu Picchu (old mountain) and Huayna Picchu (young mountain), at the foot of which meanders the Urubamba or Vilcanota River (lower Jungle featuring abundant flora and fauna).

In the afternoon, you will descend to Aguas Calientes and at a coordinated time you will be transferred to the train station to board your return train to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 8: CUSCO – LIMA:

At coordinated time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Lima.

In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel to begin your visit to colonial Lima. This tour of 3 1/2 hours will show you the flavor of this cosmopolitan and big city. Lima is a millenary city with constructions in the middle of the modern areas dating more than 2,000 years back. You will observe just one out of almost 200 of this. You will go to the Historic Centre visiting the Av. Arequipa, the most elegant avenue during the early years of our independence. Once we arrive, you will visit the Museum of Peruvian Gastronomy to learn why Peruvian cuisine is one of the best ones in the world. Afterwards, you will visit “Convento de Santo Domingo” (circa 16th century), one of the best-preserved monasteries in whole of Lima, where you will be able to see the old Lima from its tower. Observe the change of guards at around midday. Afterwards, you will have a panoramic view of the Main Square with the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Municipal Hall, the “Desamparados” Train Station, and finally you will drive through the old streets, where you will have a spectacular view of traditional mansions and Moorish style balconies. You will then continue through classic and modern Lima. Finally, you will enjoy an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. Return to hotel.

Day 9:  LIMA – IGUAZU:

Day 10: IGUAZU

The tour leaves from the hotel to visit the Argentinean side of the Iguazú Falls, 67.000 hectares long, located within Iguazú National Park, one of the first protected areas of America. They are made up of 275 falls thundering down from a 70 meter average height. In this section of the rainforest, a huge variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies can be seen while walking plus the diversity of native species this Park has to offer. We are on our way to Estación Central, where we will take a train to Estación Cataratas and/or Estación Garganta del Diablo. It takes 18 minutes to Estación Garganta. As we walk along the 1200m trail, we enjoy the most spectacular fall: Devil’s Throat. We walk on Upper Circuit: 800m trail raised above the ground surface, so as not to block or scare away our local fauna as they go by. In this circuit, the waterfalls from the upper part of Dos Hermanas, Bosetti, Bernabé Méndez, and M’Bigua among other waterfalls can be observed. Then on Lower Circuit: 1600m trail walk, above the ground surface, with a view from the bottom of Dos Hermanas, Alvar Nuñez, San Martín, Bosetti and Peñon of Bella Vista waterfalls; from Peñon we get a view of Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) and Cañón del Rio Iguazú inferior.

Day 11:  IGUAZU – RIO DE JANEIRO:

In the morning you will visit the Brazilian side of the Iguassu Falls. The falls are located 24 kilometers away from downtown Foz do Iguassu. Once at the falls, you’ll enter the Visitors Centre, where one can find photograph exhibits of Iguassu Falls, a souvenir shop and any necessary facilities.

After passing through the Centre, you may begin the walking tour along the Iguassu Catwalk. This catwalk is one kilometer long and will take you directly over the falls, ending at “the Devils’ Throat” and the main falls. Return to hotel.

At a coordinated time transfer to the airport to take your flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Day 12:  RIO DE JANEIRO

After breakfast you will visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro from up above. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. Embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located 2,300 ft above sea level. The Christ statue, known as the “wonder of Rio”, was recently elected one of the 7 “New Wonders of the World”. Upon arrival at the top, guests can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to arrive at the foot of the statute. There, passengers can enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is called the “Marvelous City”. Afterwards, descend the mountain and stop for a delicious lunch.

Over a million tourists each year visit the world famous Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain), which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated, refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable-cars. The first cable-car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable-car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360 degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio de Janeiro.

Return to hotel and accommodation. Overnight.

Day 13:  RIO DE JANEIRO

Depart from the Pier and spend the day at sea, enjoying the numerous islands of the Angra archipelago, such as Ilha Grande with stop to swim at Freguesia de Santana and Lagoon Azul and Cataguases. We will stop to have lunch at the Japariz Island. This tour is a feast for the eyes with the crystal clear waters of the sea and the lush foliage of the rainforest. Angra dos Reis is composed of 365 islands with over 2,000 beaches and is one of Brazil’s most dazzling landscapes. Tropical fruits are served on-board.

Late afternoon transfer back to hotel.
