Day 1 – Huaraz:

In the morning, after taking a breakfast in your hotel, you will leave Huaraz city to the south side (30 kilometers), 20 minutes by bus and you will arrive to Canrey Chico, where you will meet the mountain staff and some animals such as donkeys and llamas. From here you will start your trekking quite easy going up enjoying the landscapes and White Mountain peaks. Also, you will arrive to your camp place Tzacracancha (3800 m.a.s.l). Camping closer to Andean huts sheep fields. Overnight.

Day 2 – Huaraz:

Tzacracancha – Yanashallash pass – Shonkoruri

Today you will have to cross the highest point in this route, so we have to leave early to get the pass on time, your guide will recommend you to hold windy jackets, once we arrived to the Yanashallash pass 4700 m.a.s.l., we will have a nice point of view to the west and east side mountain ranges. This day we have enjoyed walking in the Pre-Inka trail stone paved some parts, then we will start zigzag path to go down to Shonkoruri for our camp at (3850 m.a.s.l.). Camping overnight.

Day 3 – Huaraz:

Walking Shonkoruri – Chavin an Arrival to the city of Huaraz

At coordinated time you will, after you take a traditional andean breakfast, you will start your trekking downhill passing by Andean straw huts and humble villages to finally get to Chavin. The archaeological site of Chavin gives its name to the culture that was developed between 1500 and 300 B.C. in this high valley of the Peruvian Andes. This former place of worship is one of the earliest and best known pre-Columbian sites. Its appearance is striking, with the complex of terraces and squares, surrounded by structures of dressed stone, and the mainly zoomorphic ornamentation. After the visit, drive back to Huaraz passing the highest point of Cahish Tunnel at (4450 m.a.s.l.).
